We spent a few days with Dre’s dad in Hawke’s Bay and it was nice to catch up with that arm of the family. We went to several vineyards and found some good wines which was fun (and yum). We also went up to the top of Te Mata Peak with awesome views over the hills and bay. This is a picture of the sun setting over one of the Hawke’s Bay vineyards.
We also stopped at a walk on the way home to see some of NZ’s Geothermal activity, it was really cool and we saw some freaky fungus growing there too. To see our photos of the Hawke’s Bay and the steam rising from the ground on the geothermal walk, click here.
