This week we have spent back in Thailand staying where we can use a gym and pool every day to help rehabilitate my leg and ankle. I have been able to use the treadmill on a slow walking setting and hold onto the sides to start lifting my heel, and have gotten up to the point where I can now lift my heel without holding on. So for the past few days, I’ve been walking around without my crutches.

This week has also marked 2 months since the accident (which was on 23rd April) so it’s a relief to finally be making real walking progress. 59 days of not walking un-aided is a LOT longer than I thought it would take back when I started writing this journal.
My leg and ankle are still quite sore walking, I imagine this will improve with continued practice. Swimming has been a good way to help work my muscles differently too. The entire week dedicated to healing my leg has been really awesome. I am so lucky to have been able to use the exercise equipment, and this coupled with my regular exercises have been really good for me.
Our burns are starting to fade a little now; after this I will post monthly photos of the burns healing.
