The adventures of the Brummers

Anita’s visit

Anita came over for a brief visit for the weekend.  We went to the beach a on some massive walks.  The first morning we got up at 5 to see Queen Victoria come into the harbour (love this view!)

And then also saw her leave again the next day.

It was a historic meeting of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth 2 (which looks so tiny now) as it was QE2′s last visit ever into Sydney harbour and her final voyage before being made into a floating hotel in Dubai, and Queen Victoria’s maiden world voyage, so it was quite fun to see and hear the massively loud ship horns.

Tania and Rico’s visit

Karen’s cousin Tania and her new husband Rico came over to Sydney for their honeymoon and it was really fun to catch up with them for a day and show them the sights of Manly.  After lunch we took them on a long walk and we saw this water dragon eating some corn chips that were on the ground.  It was so cute so see him munching away, and sticking his long toungue out.  After the beach and some coffee they returned to the city for the night.

Fairlight Walk

We’ve been doing lots of walks (as usual) around Sydney of late, we recently did the Fairlight walk just near our house.  This walk we’ve done many times but thought we’d put some photos up this time for those of you who haven’t been for a visit.  We live near so many beaches, this is just one of them but only around 10 minutes walk away from our apartment.  Click here for our photos.
